The
day was another succesful day for West Wales
Basketball, despite various problems that
saw the first half of the first game played
to a backdrop of a fire alarm, with the fire
brigade & police wandering around the
buidling.
Then a problem when the water to
the building was cut off for a reason we
never did discover!
The day was extremely well supported, with
all 7 teams who said they were going to
turn up, turning up.
Highlights of the
day were the semi-final between Cougars
and Carmarthen, that was extremely intense and physical, finishing with only
2pts between them; the performance of Tenby, who despite only having 5 players,
including 2 u.16's players, they played with passion and great organisation.
The
teams from Kenfig Hill and Abervalley who
despite having furthest to travel were
the first to arrive and added to quality
and passion of the competition as well
as having there own band of supporters.
All in all a great day of non-stop competitive basketball.
