West Wales End of Season Tournament and Award Ceremony
Sunday 27th April 2008
Dyffryn Taf School Sports Hall, Whitland
Thanks to everyone who turned out for this event and made the day a great success. Every club was represented and during the day around 100 people attended, with just under 70 people taking part in the competitions throughout the day.
The first match was an extremely competitive u.14's game made up of mixed teams. This was followed by an u.16's competition with 4 teams competing, a mixed team (Aber, Llanelli & Whitland), Whitland Wizards, Preseli Storm and Carmarthen. In the final Carmarthen beat Whitland Wizards. The senior competition comprised of 4 teams, the West Wales u.18's and 3 teams mixed up with players from all of the clubs. Eventually after some great competition the u.18's won the final after overtime.
The dunk competition was won not surprisingly by Sam Trueman, but he now has some serious competition from his Carmarthen team mate, 16 year old Paul Kilkelly.
The 3 point competition was won by Alan Gbel from Aberystwyth.
